Eye exercises for computer users
most of the computer user experience eye strain. this may be as a result of using inappropriate monitors like the CRT (cathode ray tube) screens. Prolonged computer use  may also bring about the same problem. If you experience a combination of regular headaches and eye strain, the problem might be the associate with the computer use. Sometimes computer use may interfere with your vision to the extent that you may not see the object/ vision clearly. You may see color differently or have a irritated and dry eye. Relief from many computer- use eye problem may be achieve  from regular eye exercises.
More than 50 percent of computer users experience eyestrain, headaches, blurred vision and other visual symptoms related to sustained use of the computer. This type of stress on the visual system can also cause body fatigue and reduced efficiency at work. In addition, there are now indications that heavy computer users are at the risk for glaucoma.
We were born to have hunter’s eyes, needed for spotting game or danger at a distance. But during the last 50 years nearly all our work and much of our recreation, for example, video games, has shifted the focus of our vision to arm’s length. This increased amount of near visual tasks often produces such changes as nearsightedness, suppressed vision in one eye, poor eye teaming and reduced efficiency at work and at play.
Many computer users experience visual stress due to: 1) an increase in the number and complexity of necessary eye movements and focusing skills, 2) poor lighting conditions, glare and distracting reflections, 3) screen flicker rate, and 4) above all, the extended amount of computer use.
Palming
The palming exercise will teach you to relax your eyes, which in turn will bring health energy to your eye.
1.First, rub hands together until they feel warm (about 15 to 20 seconds). Then place your cupped hands over your closed eyes, being careful not to touch your eyes with the palms of your hands. The fingers of each hand should overlap and rest gently on the center of your forehead. Don’t create any unnecessary pressure on your face. If your arms get tired, rest your elbows on a table.
2 Sit quietly for one to two minutes with your hands over your eyes. The more relaxed you become, the blacker the darkness you will see with your eyes close.
While eye exercises are crucial to the checking of eye strain associated with prolonged computer usage or glare emanating from Cathode Ray Tube monitors, it's also important to mention that exercises alone won't work. You may want to fit your computer with an anti-glare screen or use the less hazardous LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitors.
After working on your computer for some time always remember to take a break in order to give your eye muscles an opportunity to loosen up and rejuvenate. Make it a point to do eye exercises on routine basis. Your eyes will come out stronger and well focused and oriented to do their work. Such eye exercises may also help prevent or fix eye disorders from causes other than the computer.
Near-far focus
This exercise improves eye flexibility:
·       Hold your thumb six inches from your nose
·       Focus on your thumb
·       Take one deep breath and exhale slowly
·       Then focus on an object about 10 feet away
·       Take another deep breath and slowly exhale.
Repeat back and forth 15 times

Several types of eye exercises

Some types of eye exercises are now used to maintain eye health, while some others have been taken in hopes to improve eyesight. In fact, those eye exercises are just like other forms of physical exercises, which are widely used to maintain and improve fitness and health. In similar, eye exercises are believed to keep the eyes and eye muscles healthy.
The function of eye exercise in vision improvement is still under controversy. While some studies prove that eye exercises can both strengthen the eyes and improve eyesight, others have not found apparent benefit for vision improvement. However, one point has gained agreement from all those studies that performing certain eye exercises can strengthen the eyes.
One type is called eye focus exercise. A person can simply hold a pen or pencil close enough so that it can be seen clearly. Then focus the eyes on the object for several seconds. After that, switch the eyesight into an object about 10 feet away for another several seconds. Alternatively repeating the two objects can help the eyes improve focus ability.
Thumb rotations can be used to train one eye at a time. For example, a person can cover the left eye with his left hand and train the right eye first. Hold the right thumb up directly in front, on which should be focused by the right eye. The right hand can then make a variety of shaped such as circles, half circles, squares, and triangles and so on. During these changes, the right eye should move to maintain focus on the right thumb, without any movement of the head. After doing this several times, switch to the left eye.
Another eye exercise is to rotate the eyes. A person can start this exercise with his eyes focused on the eyebrows and make the largest circle possible while rolling the eyes.
People with poor vision are highly encouraged to take these kinds of eye exercises for only several minutes every day. It is necessary to remove glasses and contact lenses before performing any kind of these exercise, otherwise it may pain your eye ball with eyeglasses and  the lenses may be become dislodge.

eye exercise is not quick fixed and over night magic spell for your eye problems

The truth is that-do not expect perfect vision overnight. eye exercise do give amazingly good result, they take long time.

consider the cost doing nothing:
vision will continue to get worse, and glasses and lenses will get stronger and stronger( and you have to pay more for them), deterioration vision that make you a potential candidate for more serious problem in the future.
frankly, you have nothing lost( well, maybe only for glasses) if you try this eye exercise. It's time to see for yourself.
simply use the techniques and build them into your daily routine. Then make a full, honest effort for 3 month period. that's it.
I will be updating and growing this sites  with more and more of our experience here.

We can see clearly with eye exercise. And also improve vision without glasses, contact lenses or laser eye surgery. Eye exercises are widely used around the world today for natural vision improvement. Also commonly referred to as vision training, eye exercises performed consistently over a period of time can cure.
·      Nearsightedness (myopia)
·      Farsightedness (hyperopia)
·      Aging vision (presbyopia)
·      An irregularly shaped cornea (astigmatism)

The cause of poor vision
The main cause of poor vision is muscle tension in and around the eye. This eye strain affects the ability to focus and relax completely. And over time the eyeball changes shape to compensate. The irregular shape of the eyeball causes light to focus too far in front of the retina (in nearsightedness) or too far behind (in farsightedness). The cornea can also become squashed (astigmatism) which is a common effect of being near sighted.

Improving eyesight- Near or Far
Two of the most common visually ailments are near and far-sightedness. Both are ailments effect vision and the distance that is seen when looking at object. Both ailments can be cured on their own if allowed. Almost all eye ailments are caused from bad habits learned as children, and strain on the eyes.
Near-sightedness (myopia) is caused by the eyeballs elongating. This ailment is caused by habits which include only looking at objects close up for long periods of time. This starts out in school age children who are forced to learn things from books and other materials requiring close contact focus.
Myopia becomes a problem due to strain on the eyes, pressure, or frustration. The pressure young children have to succeed is enormous. When information is boring, it is hard to actually learn. Looking at material for long periods of time without a break can cause the eyes to strain on close up information.
Near-sightedness can also be contributed to mental strain and psychological issue. Myopia can be part of an anxiety or nervousness about the future. Subconsciously the person may be afraid of what lays ahead of them and are unable to look ahead to the future. In this case, they are comfortable where they are and feel safe in their close up world.
Far-sightedness is the ability to see the distant but not things close up. Far-sightedness starts affecting people in their 40s. This is when the lenses start to harden. The muscles around the eye can still be train to force the eyes to contract even with harden lenses. This ailment is believed to be part of getting older, so we just accept the problem and get glasses. We allow our eye to become lazy and learn to rely on artificial lenses to get us through each day.
Far-sightedness can also be ‘all in the mind’. People start to look too far to the future and refuse to look to look at things right in front of them. They allow their focus to be on retirement instead of on fixing the leaking faucet today.
Both these ailments can be avoided by allowing the eyes to move around naturally each day. If you are studying something up close for most of the day, spend an hour or so looking at things in the distance. If you are looking far away grab a book and read some pages.

How eye exercise work
Eye exercises work by first strengthening the six groups of eye muscles, and then helping them to relax completely each day to improve vision on a progressive basis ways. They usually form a vision training program of 30-60 days for more in severe cases) and are known to be effective on all common vision disorders. However, eye exercises cannot cure more serious eye conditions like cataracts, glaucoma and retinopathy.
