Rebuild your vision

Step 1: Refer to the image above labeled “#3-3 CUPS.” You will also need a pen or pencil.
Step 2: Sit relaxed and adjust your chair so that you are 12 to 24 inches from the computer monitor at eye level. If the image is not perfectly clear to you, that’s all right, as long as you can make out the image.
Step 3: Hold the pen vertically between the two circles approximately 1 inch from the screen. The top of the pen should be at the same level as the image.
Step 4: Focus on the top of the pen as you slowly bring it toward your face. (Refer to figure 3.2 below.) As you bring the pen closer to your face you will notice the two circles appear to become three circles. When it appears that the three circles are all the same shape and proportion, stop moving the pen.
Step 5: Try to shift your focus from the pen to the center circle. This may be difficult and could take a few days to master. If you have trouble doing this, refer to “troubleshooting” below.
Step 6: Once you can focus on the center circles, move your pen away while maintaining your focus. Try to see the center circles as clearly as possible. As you increase your focus you will notice that the center circle becomes three-dimensional. It will look as if you were peering down into a Styrofoam cup. (Refer to figure 3.3 below.)
Step 7: Your final goal for level 1 is to look at the two circles and create the three circles, the center one appearing three- dimensional, without using your pen. Once you can easily achieve this, proceed to level 2 as described in the

And if you have any difficulties (which people rarely do). There’s troubleshooting tips like these to help you along the way.
Helpful tip #1: If you have trouble creating the third circle.
Move closer or farther from the monitor, also, your eyes may have become tired very quickly so briefly look away or perform the distant night eye exercise to refresh your eyes.
Helpful tip #2: if you see four circles.
Focus closer to the tip of your nose. Bring the pen closer to your face and keep your eyes focused on it. This should transform the four circles into three. Another option is to move a few inches farther from the monitor.
Helpful tip #3: if you cannot focus on the center circle.
If you can see the center circle but have trouble focusing on it without the pen, be assured that this is normal when you’re first performing this eye exercise. Focus on the top of the pen, and then slowly look over it at the center circle keep going back and forth between the two until you are able to focus on the centre circle without the pen.
Rebuild your vision
The same goes for eye exercises as all other exercises, it is not just exercising that your eyes need, but they also need the right nourishment. The old saying from WW// that “carrots helps pilots see in the dark”, is not far from the truth! What you might not want to hear is that red meat is also good for the eyes. As always a good balanced diet is what you need.
There are 17 eye vitamins, minerals, and herbal supplements that medical research has shown to support your vision and eye health. A major supplement for the eye is collagen.
The Occur-plus formula is a proprietary blend of 17 of the highest grade nutrients that research has shown are essential in improving the clarity of your eyesight and protecting your visual system. Specifically designed in improve your vision health, prevent cataracts, restore the clarity of your eyesight, improve macular degeneration, and prevent glaucoma.
It is worth a visit just to see what the 17 vitamins and minerals are, finding the natural ingredients could be challenging; this is a convenient way to nourish the eyes.
The simplest of eye exercises is to blink! Yes that’s blink. This simple act washes and massages the lens of your eye. Just consciously blink several times when you change your focus, when looking up from your book or the TV for instance.
Two eye exercises that can be beneficial in maintaining good eye health are palming and focusing. Palming helps to keep the cornea from hardening, and can be very helpful for soothing tired. Focusing, this exercises the muscles around the cornea that are responsible for just that, focusing the eye.
Palming sit at a table where you can rest on your elbows comfortably. Rub your hands together to make them warm, then cover your closed eyes with your palms. Cup your palms to avoid pressing too hard on your eyes, and make sure you blot out any light. Keep your eyes covered for several minutes rubbing your hands together, frequently to generate the heat. Do this several times a day, especially if you are doing close work or working with computers.
Focusing you’ve seen those movies where someone is about to jump from a tall building and the firemen stand underneath holding out a catcher. Well the catcher is an analogy of your eye lens.
At rest your lens has a convex shape that allows you to focus at a distance. This is the fireman waiting and there is a sag in the catcher. Now if the person jumps they all pull out so the catcher becomes flat and tight. The firemen are like the muscles around the lens. If you want to focus on a close object the muscles pull the lens flat.
The problem is that as we get older and/or we do a lot of close work, the lens becomes stiff, and the muscles get weaker, so focusing is harder.
The simple solution is to wear glasses, that will do the focusing for you, like getting in the car instead of walking, if we send our eyes to the gym and do eye exercises, this needn’t happen.
________________________________________
For this eye exercise you will need to focus on three objects. If you wear glasses, take them off for this exercise and the objects nee snort be in clear focus.

One object should be in the distance such as a building or tree. Another object in the middle distance, about half way between you and the first object. Then the third is a pencil or your finger

Lining up all three objects, focus on the distant object, then the middle and then the closest. Now go back the other way, only spending a few seconds on each object. Now move at random between the objects. Rest your eyes every few minutes by palming.
________________________________________
Tracing is the next eye exercise. This is to get the eye to flow in an easy movement. If you do close work your eye is either fixed in a stare or darting over small areas, both of which cause tension.
The exercise is to give the eye its more natural work of scanning the distance for prey or danger.
If you are outside then you can start from your left and trace the horizon with your eye, going up and down along the edge of each object that breaks the horizon, then work your way back, palm and then repeat.
If in the city and these is no horizon, then pick a building as far away as practical and trace around its edges, then trace the windows and entrance.
If you are inside, look to the farthest part of the room and trace around any objects you see. Around a picture, notice board or furniture.
Just keep the eyes flowing in as smooth a path as possible. Keep this up for two minutes then palm and repeat.
________________________________________
If you do a lot of close work then try to look up and refocus on more distant objects as often as possible. If you can do these eye exercises for fifteen minutes, twice a day you may prolong good eye sight for many years or recover a great deal of clarity you may have lost.

Eye protection safety training

There may be no valuable organ than our eyes.
With their remarkable ability to translate light energy into impulses transmitted to the brain, which in turn becomes sight, our eyes provide a “window on the world”.
In most cases, we need to see in order to work. As a result, our eyes are one of the most important tools we have. Unfortunately, our eyes are also the organ most vulnerable to occupational injuries. Nearly 1oo,ooo eye injuries occur on the job each year, many resulting in partial or complete loss of sight and, in some cases, total disability. The cost in medical payments, workers’ compensation and lost work days because of eye injuries is substantial. Yet it is a cost that can easily be avoided through eye protection.
Eye protection not only makes safety sense, but it makes financial sense, too. Whenever there’s a chance that employees could be exposed to hazards to the eye, eye protection and eye protection training are important ways to help them protect themselves on the job.
